Tuesday 07th December 2010 ART STARS 2010 EXHIBITION IS A GREAT SUCCESS

Last night’s cocktail party and reception for the ART STARS exhibition was an exceptionally brilliant night with cutting edge contemporary art, art lovers and music.

DJ sets from Jamie xx (The xx), Leo Greenslade (club night YOYO), Jack Savidge (Friendly Fires) and a live performance by Johnny Borrell (Razorlights) kept the lively crowd in high spirits until the much-anticipated live auction for a selection of exclusive pieces from Europe’s most exciting young artists.

Simon de Pury, Chairman of Phillips de Pury, auctioned a selection of eight ART STARS and a lively bidding battle from the audience raised a significant amount for the benefit charity Teenage Cancer Trust.

There are just a few short days to see all the stars together at the exhibition at Phillips de Pury – all the stars that weren’t sold during the live auction are available for silent auction until Friday, 10th of December.

If you do not see a confirmation page after you submit and entry, that means that the entry did not go through.

    Please check the follwoing points:

    1. Check that you have acknowledged and agreed with the rules and requirements of the contest by checking the box before submission

    2. Make sure you are uploading a gallery image of a front view of the star and a mood board image within the size limitations noted in the brief

    3. Make sure you are entering all fields about yourself and the star

    4. Make sure your file is made in RGB versus CMYK

If you still find problems, please email us!

Polo Jeans Co. Ralph Lauren Art Stars

Polo Jeans Co. Ralph Lauren Art Stars

In January 2010, Polo Jeans Co. Ralph Lauren commissioned over 40 of Europe’s most exciting young contemporary artists to customise stars made from the finest American denim.

With the iconic Stars and Stripes flag for inspiration, each young artist was tasked with creating something totally unique: beyond the shapes and sizes of the Art Stars, the only limit was their imaginations...

Each Art Star will appear in a Polo Jeans Co. store, before joining a public exhibition in London in late 2010.

Contemporary art and fashion aficionados will have the opportunity to own one of these exclusive Art Stars.

All the stars created will be brought together in a public exhibition in London in late 2010 and auctioned in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust.

Teenage Cancer Trust is a charity dedicated to improving the lives of young people with cancer between the ages of 13-24.

Teenagers don’t stop being teenagers because they have cancer, which is why Teenage Cancer Trust builds specialist units in NHS hospitals, staffed by teenage cancer specialists.

These units are designed for and by young people and aim to give teenage cancer patients the very best chance of a positive outcome whilst being as close as possible to normal life.

State-of-the-art facilities keep patients occupied during long, and often grueling stays, whilst bringing teenagers with cancer together so they can support each other.
