BREUNINGER

Since its opening by Eduard Breuninger in 1881, what was once a small business has now developed into the fashion and lifestyle emporium Breuninger. With its 10 stores and over 4,300 employees, Breuninger sets the benchmark in service, shopping experience and the latest trends.

Consequently, Breuninger sets a high standard in everything it does. In its Stuttgart flagship store, spread over 35,000 m2, and in its 9 other stores, including stores in Nuremberg, Leipzig, Sindelfingen, Karlsruhe and Frankfurt, the unique “Breuninger world” presents fashion, perfume, shoes, accessories, sport’s equipment and home furnishings with an exclusive flair. Managing partner since 1980, Willem G. van Agtmael, sums up the ambition of the company, “We want to win over our customers afresh every day, that is the aim of every employee”.

Germany’s largest range of premium accessories has been available in the flagship store in Stuttgart since March 2006. Burberry, Chloe, Dior, Gucci, Tod’s, Fendi and Yves Saint Laurent are only a small selection of the international and in part exclusive, leading fashion brands that turn shopping into an experience. The first designer lines of renowned names such as Gucci, Stella McCartney, Burberry Prorsum, Dolce & Gabbana, Ralph Lauren Black and Miu Miu were established in Breuninger’s Stuttgart Damenexquisit department in December 2008. The launch of the Breuninger online shop at the beginning of December 2008 made the exclusive brands from the fashion and lifestyle emporium Breuninger nationally available overnight. Thanks to its product and brand selection, the online shop is a representation of the Stuttgart flagship store.
Furthermore, the shop contains extras such as Breuninger fashion TV, an e-mail newsletter and express delivery services.

Customer service is number one at Breuninger and this has been confirmed by our having been awarded first place in prestigious awards from Avis, Best of Germany and the Visa Service prize. Breuninger is the only store Europe-wide with its own tailoring shop for ladies’ wear and menswear, which offers made-to-measure clothing and also fine, tailored clothing made entirely by hand. The Breuninger special service gives customers the option of having a “personal collection”, based on clothing size, style preferences and choice of colours, put together before they visit the store and then to experience this in a more private atmosphere. The challenge to “stand out from the crowd” is what will continue to shape the trend of the company in the future.

Polo Jeans Co. Ralph Lauren Art Stars

Polo Jeans Co. Ralph Lauren Art Stars

In January 2010, Polo Jeans Co. Ralph Lauren commissioned over 40 of Europe’s most exciting young contemporary artists to customise stars made from the finest American denim.

With the iconic Stars and Stripes flag for inspiration, each young artist was tasked with creating something totally unique: beyond the shapes and sizes of the Art Stars, the only limit was their imaginations...

Each Art Star will appear in a Polo Jeans Co. store, before joining a public exhibition in London in late 2010.

Contemporary art and fashion aficionados will have the opportunity to own one of these exclusive Art Stars.

All the stars created will be brought together in a public exhibition in London in late 2010 and auctioned in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust.

Teenage Cancer Trust is a charity dedicated to improving the lives of young people with cancer between the ages of 13-24.

Teenagers don’t stop being teenagers because they have cancer, which is why Teenage Cancer Trust builds specialist units in NHS hospitals, staffed by teenage cancer specialists.

These units are designed for and by young people and aim to give teenage cancer patients the very best chance of a positive outcome whilst being as close as possible to normal life.

State-of-the-art facilities keep patients occupied during long, and often grueling stays, whilst bringing teenagers with cancer together so they can support each other.
