
She may have only graduated from the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art three years ago, but Baker¹s intricate, imagined cities created from found images have won her a raft of critical acclaim. Drawing on the falseness and unreality of new urban playgrounds, such as Las Vegas and Dubai, and the sense of history that imbues ancient sites such as the Pyramids, Baker creates pseudo-scape collages that mix old and new into jarring dream worlds. More recently, she has continued to explore man’s fascination with false environments through playful paintings of snow globes.
